Tips for Glueing

large product photo   20th March 2014

Glueing can get a bit messy. I find the best process is to squeeze the blob of 2-part glue onto the taper, then scrape it into the inside of the pile or nock.

Then slip the pile or nock onto the taper. All the glue ends up inside rather than outside, though some may squidge out. Turn a few times while moving in and out, then set into the right position and push firmly home (or screw on with the piles).

Leave the glue to dry overnight. Leave it! The arrows seem to lose a grain or two in weight when this happens.
