After months of speculation about the new play area we are pleased to announce that it is finally installed and seems to have the approval of local children who are enjoying the new features.
To celebrate
the play area and other work that has been carried out in Newton Park we are
organising a family fun event from 1 to 4 p.m. on Monday
5th May. (For those like your webmaster for whom the penny didn't
drop - this is a bank holiday Monday!). Stick it in your calendars or personal
disorganizers, or tie a knot in your hanky.
We will
be providing activities for children including kite making, face painting and
sports games, and we hope the weather will be warm enough for you all to bring
along a picnic.
Last year's event, the teddy bear picnic, was a great success, so come along and make this year's even better!
