| CUSTOM FEATURES |
| NOTES | The Kokirrak class is one of the more common classes of capital ships in service in the Marches; a total of four BatRons of this type serve on permament station, with harbour assignments at Rhylanor, Regina, Jewell and Mora. Generally, one squadron of Kokirraks is dispersed into independent ships with ancilliary escorts. On patrol, the ships combine training operations with routine patrols and reaction operations. The Kokirrak is a preferred ship for flag operations due to its extensive admiral's quarters, which include command and commo equipment as well as entertainment chambers. The ship is capable of controlling a large fleet engagement within a system as well as holding its own in battle; this combination of fleet controller and ship of the line make it an asset in nearly any space combat situation. Normally, Kokirraks do not carry troops. It is possible to install modular quarters for up to 2,000 troops in the hold, although more usually 1,000 are crried. A squadron of Kokirraks can carry 8-16,000 men, or the equivalent of a reinforced division. This class of dreadnaught, when originally designed and constructed, mounted black globe force field generators. Over the years, various ships have suffered black globe generator failures, and the devices have not been replaced. Around half the serving Kokirraks retain their force fields. The Kokirrak is one of the older classes of dreadnaught in Imperial space, and is now being phased out of service. Within the last decade, several ships have been disposed of to other services such as the scouts and to other governments, including sector navies and client states in the Spinward border regions of the Imperium. |
