The newly-formed CB LIC Repo Team 7, having completed their induction and initial training, found themselves with some spare time on their hands before their first mission. Naturally, they decided to make use of their initial salaries to better equip themselves.
Stpierb' went shopping through the ship suppliers of the Pluvis asteroid, finally locating a dealership in "security products"; Happy Hakiem's Armaments Bazaar. He dickered with the proprietor for a while before settling on some assorted equipment from behind the "front wares" (shotguns and stunners), most notably a Trane-made gaussrifle of noticeably superior quality. On his way out, he was accosted by the local police, who after some heavilly sarcastic questions about whether he was intending to start a war somewhere, checked his CB-LIC ID and allowed him to be escorted safely home. They declined, however, to carry his parcels.
Captain Nose and Lasnus, tipped off by Stpierb', went in search of the same establishment. After considerable negotiaition, they managed to come away with some pretty good hardware, including suits of TL-14 combat armour, bought at a price that left Hakiem shaking his head and begging not to be recommended to their friends. He threw in locally-made battle computers, though.
While Nose decoyed the dealer away to give him a (simulated) test shoot, Lasnus cased the store carefully, with possible nocturnal revisits in mind. Experienced in security systems, he was impressed and discouraged by the thoroughness and professionalism of the measures in place.
