The Gathering
"Behold, in the early years of
the Fifth Millennium
There shall be a gathering of Nine.
Nine Elements and Nine Instruments
of Prophecy
Bound together yet fated to battle.
The mind of steel, the swordsman,
the guide, the killer, the hunter
the demon queen, the lord of dragons,
the man of seas and the thief...
This is how the Elements shall be
known.
They shall strive for the Instruments
of Prophecy so that
They may walk the Sundered Paths...
The Guardians of Prophecy shall be
three
Each representing the aspect of Spirit,
Soul and Sorcery...
None shall gain ascendancy, lest the
Instruments fall
Into the hands of but a single Element
For down that path lies failure and
the rise of a Dark God..."
The Journey
"Once the Gathering is complete
and the Nine tread the War-Torn Isles
Shall the Journey commence to the
Mountain of Fire.
The conjunction of the Three Guardians
will awaken ancient
Terrors and the lands of the Great
Continent and the Broken Isles
Will feel the dreadful weight of that
terror.
Only then can the Nine Elements descend
beneath the rivers of fire
To fulfill their awful destiny.
Should any fall by the wayside they
shall fall forever
As will the hopes of their race..."
The Battle
"As the tides of Fate crash against
the walls of Promethian destiny
So must the Nine Elements face their
greatest challenge.
Indeed that challenge shall decide
the Fates of the Universe
And carve a new world from the ashes
of the old...
The arena will be a Circle of Fire
and the Struggle will manifest
Itself in the fears of those present...
Guard well the Instruments of Prophecy
For their power is the only light
in a dreadful darkness..."
