Family History

Legend has it that a few Menelothians survived the awful destruction of the entire (?) Menelothian race. Since you  were born your father was secretive, nervous, guarded with  what he told you. Only when you were - in his eyes - ready  for the truth did he tell you.

Before Erlain Mor Meneloth had a nobility and hierarchy like many other kingdoms. Your family was  closely related to an Eren family by birth and whilst  the offspring retained many of the Menelothian characteristics  and appearance the bloodline was evenly spread. In truth you  are half Eren.

Now here's the twist. Half your family died when the race fell but your father stumbled upon a strange anomaly. A handful  of half breeds such as yourself were spared...not randomly either.  A figure appeared to your father and said: "Mourn not the death of  the fallen race...I have need of the good blood of Menelothia and  I will spare a handful from the Reaper. Raise these children  well for they are now noble...the last vestiges of Menelothian  power is in their hands."

"Who are you?" your father said.

"You will not know me, old man, but rest assured your children will...and through them I will become strong!"

The Family Power

Up to three times every day you can assume the shape of a wolf, along with several unique abilities pertaining to wolves (and some that don't). It takes  up to five minutes to change form fully but this isn't lycanthropy. Once lupine  you can stay as a wolf indefinitely and your senses are sharp (probably  sharper than a normal wolf)...indeed there is an element of telepathy in  there somewhere (more in game!).

Unlike normal wolves other animals are not spooked by you - in fact quite the opposite. Animals feel particularly safe in your presence,  even deer and other creatures feel becalmed by you. Other wolves are  intrigued by your difference - you have no problem communicating with  them either, though they always ask the same question: You speak and  act as one of us but you are different - why?It's not something that you  can presently answer.

On the phase of the full moon (twelve times every year - for ease of gameplay I say that full moon is on the 15th of each month - wherever  you are on Grayhawk) you feel empowered and it is your sight that is  augmented the most. Your sharp eyes can see an everpresent shadow,  a figure just out of your view. He has always been there, in the background,  a spirit that waits to fulfill his Destiny. The full moon is also the time when your  fur, which is normally brown, turns silvery white. Strangely the shadowy figure also  has white hair at this time...and on the full moon you hear his voice:  Soon my child...soon I will come to you...
