Starting equipment for the Brazos campaign

Each character starts out provided with the following at no cost to the player:

Erlain CA-I-14 Marine Combat Armour See attached sheet.
In summary, the armour is a TL-14 suit with 15 armour points, 20-day duration, Heads-Up, Holographic, Telescopic, Infra-red, Light Intensifier, Flexible periscope lens and PRIS visor features, Audio, Radiation, Magnetic, Temperature, Pressure, Near Miss Indicator and Atmosphere tester electronics, radio and maser communicators, Map box, Inertial Navigator, Infrared masking system, Tunable chæmelon surface, 5-shot prismatic aerosol, Reinforced joints, Sure grip soles, Hi-Dex Gloves and Rifle link. A TL-14 battlecomputer co-ordinates all this, and provides both platoon-level and centralized telemetry within the commo system's range.
The Lieutenant, Sergeant and Fusion Gunner have the powered version, BD-I-14, which is identical except for a x2 Str bonus and -1 Dex bonus penalty.
Uniform Fatigues, cap, beret, boots, small kit, dress blues (usually stored aboard ship)
Personal weapon
  • Standard issue is the Dalton & Holroyd IG-32 4mm Gauss Rifle. Each marine carries four magazines and eight HE RAM grenades as standard; an extra 100 magazines and 50 each of HE, HEAP and flechette RAM grenades are stored in the APC. An 8" combat knife is also issued.
  • The sniper carries a Harrison Hawk sniper gauss rifle instead. Lacking the autofire options of the regular rifle, this has a longer barrel and therefore better accelerator, receiving a +2 to hit if fired from a rest.
  • The fusion gunner carries an Instellarms 4376 FGMP-14. This weapon has a considerable recoil and requires strength-enhanced battledress to use.
  • Officers, NCOs and the Corpsman are issued a pistol, although they can (and usually do) carry a rifle as well. The pistol is either a Wilcox Avenger .44 magnum revolver or a Dalton & Holroyd IG-8 4mm gauss pistol. Two magazines/speedloaders are standard, with more usually carried in the APC.
Commo The combat armour has Continental range radio and Regional maser communicators built in. Seperate Regional radio commo complete with throat and ear commdots is provided to each trooper in case the need arises to ditch the combat armour.
Field pack This contains, among other things, mess kit (with systems for feeding meals into the armour in hostile atmospheres), water purifier, medical kit, tear-n-swear patches, rations, paybook and personal effects
Unofficial equipment Since the dawn of warfare, soldiers have added unoffical extras to the tools they're given to fight wars with. This unit is no exception. Players may nominate extra bits and pieces to be carried, within reason and backpack capacity.
